Curriculum:

At Pomegranate, our curriculum is thoughtfully designed to support the whole child — intellectually, emotionally, socially, and creatively — through a balance of structure and freedom. Rooted in Montessori and Reggio Emilia principles, our approach honors each child’s natural curiosity, pace of learning, and unique strengths.

Montessori Foundations

Children receive individualized Montessori lessons in language, early literacy, mathematics, and science, working one-on-one or in small groups with a trained teacher. Through hands-on materials and guided discovery, children build concentration, independence, and confidence as they progress at their own pace.

Reggio-Inspired Learning

Our learning environment is intentionally designed to act as a third teacher. Inspired by Reggio Emilia philosophy, children engage with open-ended materials, project work, and creative exploration that encourage critical thinking, collaboration, and self-expression. Our art studio (atelier) provides opportunities for children to explore ideas through various creative mediums in both individual and small-group settings.

Emotional Development, Grace & Courtesy

Emotional growth is supported naturally through daily routines, modeling, and relationships. Children learn to recognize emotions, practice self-regulation, and develop empathy within a calm, respectful classroom community. Through Montessori grace and courtesy practices, children learn kindness, patience, problem-solving, and care for themselves and others.

Learning Through Experience

Our curriculum blends academic learning, creative expression, movement, and meaningful social interaction into a cohesive, child-led experience. Rather than separating subjects, children learn through purposeful play, exploration, conversation, and hands-on experiences that foster joy, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.

Together, these elements create a nurturing, engaging environment where children feel secure, capable, and excited to learn — each on their own unique journey.
